Bangladesh Sangharaj Bhikkuh Mahasabha has stood beside the Rohingya refugees who were persecuted by the Myanmar army in Rakhine province.They have distributed relief among 400 families with the help of Bangladesh Army at kutupalong camp on 11th October.

Among the relief commodities – there are rice, pulses, potatoes, crokeries and cash. Secretary General of Bikkuh Mohashoba S lokjith thera, Dr.Shangapriyo principal of Patiya Cental Bihar, Assistant director of Ramu central shima Bihar progganond bikkuh and accounts auditor moitree priyo mohatero were present among others on the occasion.

The Buddhist monks said, “We condemn the persecution of the army on Rohingyas in Myanmar and also sypathized for oppressed people. We have come here with some relief for the first time.we hopeful it will be continued.We want Rohingya people to live with honor and dignity as well as full assurance of security in their homeland (Rakhaine state).We strongly urge to the Myanmar authority to stop repression and bring them back to their native soil in Rakhaine provice.’

Subsequently, the four members of the delegation – Bangladesh Sangharshaj Bhikkhu Mahasabha Organizing Secretary Prof Dr. Gnanarothn Mahathera, Sangraraj Bikkuh Mahamandal President Bhanta Jialankar Mahathera, Bhikkhu Mahasabha Religious Secretary Sumangal Mohathera, including Publication Secretary Suman priyo Thera, Thapos joyoti Thera,Jyotisen Thera, Bipola sen Thera and Dipankar Thera have visited refugee camps.
